It's not very often that you find your soulmate in middle school, but for Claudia and Samuel, that is when their love story began. A love story that was many years in the making and it could not have been a more perfect day!

Fall weather in Michigan can be tricky and November 13th was no exception. With rain all morning, we were prepared for a plan "B" ceremony inside, but the skies cleared just in time and this sweet couple was able to have their dream ceremony outside against Black Barn Vineyard and Winery's gorgeous landscape. Their ceremony processional included their pride and joy; two King Charles Cavalier Spaniels, Oliver and Harley! Claudia was escorted down the aisle by her father, standing tall and proud in his dress blues. The ceremony was full of love and was officiated by Samuel's brother in law, which added such a personal touch. It was all smiles and happy tears as these two said "I do"!

Back at the reception space, guests were greeted by a warm room full of glowing candlelight, black linens, and the most spectacular fall-inspired flowers by Mitten Floral. Cocktail hour kicked off with signature drinks inspired by their pups, The Oliver Fashioned and The Winged Harley. After the couple's official introduction into cocktail hour they headed over to cut their white chocolate raspberry bundt cake by Nothing Bundt Cakes. And of course, custom figurines of their beloved pups adorned their cake. Chowhound Gourmet Catering kicked off dinner with a delicious plated meal. Throughout the day and evening, guests had the opportunity to leave voice messages on an old school cherry red rotary dial phone by After The Tone. This phone records everyone's well wishes that will be downloaded to a flash drive for the couple to listen to anytime they'd like. It was a huge hit and I'm sure it will be treasured forever. DJ Brett from Motor City HDJ kicked off the evening with formal dances followed by a non-stop packed dance floor. It was a night that we never wanted to end.
