After planning with this couple for over a year and a half with our partial planning services, the excitement levels for their wedding day were hard to keep under wraps! Brianna and Jacob are both so kind-hearted and have such playful personalities, it was really fun to see those aspects come through in their wedding design and throughout their wedding day. After several design schemes, we landed on an airy boho feel with a neutral color palette, which really embraced their overall style and desired wedding day vibe.
Sunny skies greeted their guests as they made their way through the field to the vineyard at Black Barn. Halfway there, we had a ceremony drink station with waters, Miller Lite cans and hard seltzers as a treat for their guests. At the opening to the vineyard, Brianna and Jacob’s vintage mirror wedding sign pointed guests further to the oak tree. Then at the top of the vineyard, a vignette of candles, fabric and beautiful blooms set the scene for their ceremony. Jacob walked down the aisle with their bulldog named Hank, who wore his “best dog” bandanna. He was the goodest boy! In a heartfelt ceremony officiated by their friend, these two said their “I do’s” and much love and laughter was shared. As the couple and their family took photos, the guests headed back to the venue to enjoy cocktail hour. Refreshing drinks were served with custom “Hank” cocktail napkins and passed appetizers such as boursin stuffed mushrooms, spring rolls, prosciutto wrapped asparagus and bourbon meatballs were served by Morton’s Catering.
Entering the reception space, guests found their seating assignments on a mirror with lovely textured paper table lists. A taupe fabric runner was gathered on each table and lined with glowing pillar candles and airy vases full of pampas grass and other dried filler from Blooms by Bri. Following a delicious dinner, guests enjoyed mingling outside on the deck, courtyard and near the fire pit, which was decked out with their s’mores station. After returning from their sunset photos, the couple and all of their guests gathered on the deck for one big photo together! Followed by their formal dances and then Wes from the Block Party opened up the dance floor and if never slowed down! It was also National Cheeseburger Day, so Brianna and Jacob ordered some McDonald’s cheeseburgers for a late night feast for their guests. I will never forget watching everyone’s face as they made their way to the table and discovered the cheeseburgers- pure joy! This couple and this day were so good and so much fun to be a part of!
Congratulations to Brianna & Jacob and much love to you both! (and Hank!)
