What’s meant to be is truly meant to be- which is exactly how we feel about Meghan and Jon and their wedding day. These two are such a pair and it was a pleasure being a part of their day! After postponing from their original wedding date in March, 2020, this memorial day 2021 weekend worked out so perfectly for them. The weather was ideal, in the seventies, and it was a partly sunny day with just a little breeze- such a lovely backdrop for their day!
Meghan and Jon chose to do a first look earlier in the day so that they could spend more time together and be present with their wedding guests. It was so important to them that their friends and family had a good time and had an experience that felt organic and effortless. As guests arrived at the venue they were greeted with a champagne wall, built by the groom, featuring flutes of champagne and the champagne of beers, for them to enjoy as they made their way to the ceremony location. Meghan and Jon’s ceremony took place under the romantic branches of a willow tree at Black Barn, in front of a hexagon backdrop embellished with floral from Brumley & Bloom. The ceremony officiated by one of their close friends was full of laughs and sweet moments as they shared the vows that they wrote.
After the ceremony, passed and stationary appetizers from Wesley’s Catering awaited everyone, including bacon wrapped mac & cheese bites, honey pecan chicken tartlets and more delicious options. The signature drinks that evening were named after Meghan and Jon’s beloved dogs; Ernie Palmer, Bean’s Bubbly, and Henry’s Puploma. As a teacher, Meghan’s thoughtfulness and attention to detail was so evident throughout their wedding design. One of these details were the custom wedding coloring books to help entertain her nieces and nephews! At each table, lush greenery garlands and candles welcome guests into an inviting and relaxing atmosphere. The focal point of the reception room was Meghan and Jon’s sweetheart table displayed in front of a banner which read “Together is a beautiful place to be” and nothing could be more true. The evening followed seamlessly from one moment to the next as guests enjoyed their dinner followed by petite desserts and wedding cake from Bella e Dolce. It was such a special day to celebrate this amazing couple!
Congrats to Meghan and Jon!
