Real Wedding Story: Irene & Corwin
Irene and Corwin’s wedding was memorable on so many levels and it was worth the wait! After postponing from their original August 2020 date due to the pandemic, the couple opted to have an intimate ceremony in California and wait for the big celebration in 2021. It was such a pleasure working with these two throughout their planning process and helping to bring their vision to life.
The Graduate Hotel in Ann Arbor was the setting for these U of M grads to hold their vow renewal and reception. Their ceremony took place in the Regency Ballroom in front of a dreamy fabric and greenery garland backdrop created by the couple. The backdrop also featured the Chinese double happiness symbol, which played a large part into the theme of their wedding and was important to them to represent Irene and her family’s culture and heritage. Irene had the most magical and dramatic entrance to her ceremony entering at just the right musical moment in her stunning gown and veil! Following the ceremony, guests were invited to take part in the traditional tea ceremony and cocktail hour, which featured bacon wrapped scallops and caprese skewers. The reception was decorated with softly lit lanterns and candles, which were surrounded by greenery. Place card favors lead guests to their table and provide a fun holder for them to save their photo strip from the photo booth. The Graduate’s catering team provided an amazing plated meal that featured options such as the snapper Hemingway and filet mignon. For dessert three types of wedding cake were displayed for guests to try! Then the dance floor opened up in style with a first dance from Irene and Corwin. In her gorgeous red dress, Irene and Corwin performed one of the most memorable first dances that I have ever seen, it was so magical! From there, DJ Richard of Michaels Entertainment kept the dance floor filled until the very end! Such a dream day, everything went so smoothly for this amazing couple!
Congrats to Irene and Corwin! We wish you nothing but the best!
