Real Wedding Story: Danielle & Mike
This couple and this day were seriously magical! Immediately upon meeting Danielle and Mike, you can tell how much fun they are, how they love to laugh, how deeply they care about each other, their friends and family. All of this was so evident throughout their wedding day and the thought that went into all of their details. We were so happy that after weeks of thunderstorms, Michigan relented to allow a beautiful, partly-cloudy day at 75 degrees, so ideal for this couple’s Thursday wedding!
Their ceremony took place under the shaded canopy of a large oak tree at Black Barn Vineyard and Winery. Guests strolled through the vineyard to this lovely location where cool water bottled awaited them as they waited for the ceremony to begin. Danielle and Mike shared a special first look earlier in the day and both felt those butterflies and were so excited to walk down the aisle towards each other. The ceremony was officiated by Danielle’s brother, James, and it was full of meaningful readings and laughter as well. After the ceremony, delicious passed appetizers from EAT Catering, which included; peach crostinis, bacon and potato tarts and grilled shrimp skewers. Bartending service was provided by Detroit on the Rocks, whose bartending staff was so accommodating and made sure that everyone was taken care of. As guests sat down for reception introductions they enjoyed views of alternating centerpieces featuring greenery garlands and low floral arrangements filled with candlelight from Angel’s Floral Creations. Each place setting included gold chargers, crisp white china and linen napkins to match their contemporary-styled menu cards. Everyone also enjoyed champagne toasts and dinner wine service from the amazing Detroit on the Rocks bar staff as well. The sweetheart table was underneath a ladder with embellished hanging floral and lush floral arrangements, it was a dream! The couple chose a dinner menu spread that really showed some creativity and delicious pairings- everyone was raving about the food from EAT Catering. Following dinner, the couple cut their wedding cake, then additional plated cakes, large cookies and donuts were brought out. Chris London DJ Service had that dance floor going from start to finish and had an extra fun element of a live saxophone player, who played along with the songs. It was so much fun and it was a great interactive element! Bonus of fun LED bracelets for guests to don while dancing the night away. Again and again and again, we would do this day with these people, but we are happier that it was a dream beginning for these two and their new adventures!
Congrats to Danielle and Mike!
