Real Wedding Story: Michelle & Jordan
Sometimes it really just all comes together to create a perfect day. Michelle and Jordan’s vendor team worked together to make it such an effortless day to celebrate these two. The couple’s attitude also plays a huge part in pulling that off and without a doubt, Michelle and Jordan were cool as cucumbers the whole day and just so excited to be marrying each other. Their love was undeniable and such a pleasure to witness!
On a mid-November day with moody cloudy skies (my favorite), Michelle and Jordan chose to have their ceremony outside on the lawn overlooking the pond. They took amazing care of their guests by providing them cozy blankets to wrap up in and hand warmers. The couple did a first look earlier in the day to maximize their daylight hours and to accomplish their photos so that they could spend more time with each other and their guests. They even shared their private vows together after their first look. The excitement was bubbling as Jordan and his parents walked down the aisle, followed later by Michelle with her father and step-father. To celebrate after signing their marriage license, we arranged with the couple to have a bottle of chilled Moet champagne and appetizers waiting for them, so that they could enjoy some time together before mingling for cocktail hour.
Cocktail hour featured a signature cocktail called “The Grizz,” which was a whiskey ginger ale named after their dog. Chowhound Gourmet Catering created a festive charcuterie board for guests to enjoy followed by a delicious dinner. The reception space glowed with candles and was accented with greenery garlands and terracotta-colored napkins. For dessert, guests had their choice of oreo, chocolate peanut butter, red velvet and strawberry cheesecake cupcake- yum! As soon as the formal dances were completed, this dance floor DID NOT slow down until the music stopped. James from Mike Staff Productions had that dance floor packed with their guests, it was so much fun to see. Such an amazing day with a great group of people, amazing vendors and a wonderful couple.
Cheers to Michelle and Jordan!
